Chant Gregorian - Benedictos
prayer
and glory to God
Ave mundi spes Maria - Latin
Ave mundi spes Maria, ave mitis, ave pia, ave plena gratia.
Ave virgo singularis, quć per rubum designaris non passus incendia.
Ave rosa speciosa, ave Jesse virgula:
Cujus fructus nostri luctus relaxavit vincula.
Ave cujus viscera contra mortis foedera ediderunt filium.
Ave carens simili, mundo diu flebili reparasti gaudium.
Ave virginum lucerna, per quam fulsit lux superna his quos umbra tenuit.
Ave virgo de qua nasci, et de cujus lacte pasci res cćlorum voluit.
Ave gemma coeli luminarium.
Ave Sancti Spiritus sacrarium.
Ne nos pro nostro vitio, in flebili judicio subjiciat supplicio.
Sed nos tua sancta prece mundans a peccati fćce collocet in lucis domo.
Amen dicat omnis homo.
Ave mundi spes Maria - English
Hail, hope of the world, Mary, hail, meek one, hail, loving one, hail, full of grace
Hail O singular virgin, who wast chosen to not suffer flames through brambles
Hail, beautiful rose, hail, staff of Jesse:
Whose fruit loosened the chains of our weeping
Hail whose womb bore a son against the law of death
Hail, O one lacking comparison, still tearfully renewing joy for the world
Hail, lamp of virgins, through whom the heavenly light shone on these whom shadow holds.
Hail, O virgin from whom a thing of heaven wished to be born, and from whose milk feed.
Hail, gem of the lamps of heaven
Hail, sanctuary of the Holy Ghost
O, how wonderful, and how praiseworthy is this virginity!
In whom, made through the spirit, the paraclete, shone fruitfulness.
O how holy, how serene, how kind, how pleasant the virgin is believed to be!
Through whom slavery is finished, a place of heaven is opened, and liberty is returned.
O, lily of chastity, pray to thy son, who is the salvation of the humble:
Lest we through our fault, in the tearful judgment suffer punishment.
But may she, by her holy prayer, purifying from the dregs of sin, place us in a home of light
Amen let every man say.

jesusport,The true Christian are not slaves of the banks or the money. The money should be used moderately for temporal need while we are an earth. Indeed our blessed consecrated souls vow poverty, chaste, and obidence.

fabulous your arguments are to the point;however the prayer is obligatory in islam because it is a religion of obedience and allah ordered us to pray as a means of salvation also charity and good morals contribute to construct a good being with a comforting hereafter.so prayer is a means of pleasing allah.ALLAH saves us every single minut he protects us and he urges us to keep on thanking him because we believ in what all his prophets told us about him.

And you, you're the slave of the banks...
Muslim are right, we are the slave of God, either you want it or not.

When we turn away from all such confusing and frustrating names of Allah and ask an ordinary Muslim, "Tell me, who is your God? What do you think and feel, when you hear the name of Allah?" He may possibly smile, spread out his arms and only say "ALLAH!" This means: Allah cannot be proved or described. One can only sense him and know about his existence. And then perhaps he may confirm this intuitive understanding with the phrase, "Allahu akbar!"

Often the names of Allah are merely ascribed to him by believers in wishful thinking rather than as certainties His mor oppressive and frightening attributes create fear in people and drive them to do everything possible to keep the law. Poverty and illness are regarded as signs of Allah's wrath for their hidden sins By the same token riches success&people's esteem in the Muslim society are taken as indications of favour from the One who alone makes rich who honours his worshippers withblessings

Muhammad did not merely testify to the uniqueness of Allah, but also described him with a variety of names. The Islamic theologians have systematised all statements of the Qur'an about Allah, including his attributes and acts, into "the 99 most beautiful names of Allah".

In his struggle against heathen polytheism in Mecca and its surroundings, Muhammad waged a merciless campaign against all gods, idols and images. He stubbornly taught: "Allah is One! All other gods are nothing!" He had accepted this basic monotheistic faith of the Jews who were living in the Arabian Peninsula because they had been exiled from their homeland by the Romans

Muslims do not thank Allah because he has already saved them through grace. On the contrary, they feel they must pray and keep the law in order to have the goodwill of Allah bestowed upon them. So Islam is a religion based on self-righteousness in which everyone tries to accumulate good deeds and so establish his own salvation by good works.
Prayer in Islam is not a voluntary service, but rather a compulsion, an obligation and a law.

Arabic words for a religious service, place of worship and worshipper are derived from the word for slaves. According to Islam, everyone is a slave to Allah. No one is free. No one lives for himself. Everyone belongs to his Creator and was created to worship and to serve perpetually and unconditionally. Those who perform the prayers expect to receive earthly and heavenly blessings. Devotion to Allah and obedience to his commands deserve many gifts including salvation.
