What, EveDeath? This is actually a pretty fresh Williams work. It's not a bombasic blockbuster score like for Indiana Jones or Star Wars, and it's not a dramatic score like Saving Private Ryan or Schindler's List. This is one of his most unique scores.

UR right, but the Academy Members never listen to the score, they mark a name. The music that beat out John Williams score was a one note theme and played 14 different ways. IT amazes me how the Academy Members never get it right!!!

There's no question about it. John Williams is the greatest movie composer of all time. Period. Anyone who says otherwise is a moron with no taste.

By all means, John Williams's work with this soundtrack makes it one of the all-time crown jewels of movie music.

I think it lost because it isn't much different then john's pervious work. While Brokeback was a pretty original take on a movie score.

I'd consider this score at least half of the movie's beauty. In certain scenes you can almost feel the silk brushing against the floor when the geisha dance. John is one of very few people who can feel the music through, like red wine through the water.

John just is the most amazing person in the whole world
